IP68 in embedded sensors
In line with the company quality improvement policy, FiberSensing’s embedded strain (FS6200) and temperature (FS6300) sensors are from now on protected against complete, continuous submersion in water, according to the specifications of protection class IP68.For arrays of sensors, the splices can also be protected with IP68 for outdoor cables.
FiberSensing joins the NextGenPCF Consortium
FiberSensing has recently become part of NextGenPCF Consortium. Together with other companies, this new partner will contribute with its solid know-how in the development and manufacturing of advanced optoelectronic instruments and sensing systems to do the commercial valorization of the technology developed by Bath and IPHT for the gas sensor and by INESC for the interrogation unit.
FiberSensing Starts a New Project with ESA - European Space Agency
The consortium EADS CASA ESPACIO, EADS Astrium CRISA, INTA, and FiberSensing signed a contract with ESA - European Space Agency relative to the project “Fiber Optic Sensing Subsystem for Spacecraft Health Monitoring in Telecommunication Satellites”.
